"I discovered this little gem of a cafe today due to issues with trains to North Wales, resulting in a short change in Gobowen to avoid the crowded change at Chester. The cafe is on platform 1 and is in the old station Building, which is well preserved and quiet. The Ham Salad Sandwich was fantastic and really good value at £2.20. It was packed with various veggies and salad and a lovely piece of thick ham (the real stuff), this was topped off with fantastically tasting seeded bread. I had a cup of tea as well which was nicely priced for the quantity. The service was excellent and the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. They also take contactless payments which was brilliant. Definitely worth the stop at Gobowen for a light bite. 5 out of 5, great job, thanks ."
